Rusting Assassins in Gate37

I was asked to write an article about Rusting Assassins for Gate-37.com. It has some more detail on the issue of UXO in Vietnam, and also goes into the issues of UXO in Laos and Cambodia, and dioxin contamination... quite a lot of background that wouldn't fit into the film itself. Check it out here.

Rusting Assassins - coming soon

More than 100,000 people in Vietnam have been injured or killed by unexploded bombs, mines and other artillery since the end of the American War in 1975. Rusting Assassins is a short documentary set in Quang Tri province in the central region of Vietnam.

It follows the stories of the people whose lives have been shattered by unexploded ordnance (UXO) and asks, could the United States be doing more to make Vietnam safe?

Rusting Assassins will be released online on 21 August 2014.
